See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A traditional pub that reflects the history and heritage of the New Town. The split-level single room has an intimate cosy feel with wooden floors and subdued décor, along with large mirrors (not brewery/distillery related). The emphasis is on local products so the cask ales are usually from Scottish independent breweries and there is a good selection of Scottish gins and malt whiskies. Well worth seeking out to avoid the well-worn tourist trails. Children are not admitted. NOTE: @ April 2022 - Likely to not open until 2pm Tue & Wed for now.
