See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A welcoming, cosy, traditional single-room tenement bar in the Morningside area of the City, well frequented by the local community. The pub has been tastefully refurbished with comfortable seating along three walls and a fine display of wines and spirits on elaborate shelving behind the bar. Photographs of old Edinburgh adorn the walls along with some interesting brewery mirrors and a stained glass window at the back.
The guest ales are mostly from Scotland although one real ale (badged Bennets Ale), from Hadrian Border Brewery in Gateshead, is always available, and at a very competitive price.
There is a paved outdoor drinking area to the front.
Children are not admitted but dogs are welcomed with treats freely available.
