Elegant 18th-century hotel in the scenic Tweed Valley. The comfortable lounge bar features a welcoming real fire while a flag-stoned 'sports bar' with log-burner provides a great thawing-out space for mountain bikers, walkers and anglers. A bistro area and separate restaurant provide plenty of room for diners. Meals are served all day at weekends and there is a menu for children. Sadly (Nov21) it is no longer one of the few outlets for draught real ale from Traquair House Brewery. NOTE: May close earlier if quiet. CAMRA Borders Real Ale Quality Award runner up 2022.
