See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
An unusual twin gable-ended building dating from the 18th century, this community pub and bistro lies next to an old watermill by the River Tyne at the southern edge of the town. The long narrow bar, with its open fire in winter, is popular with locals. Real ales are chosen from around the UK. The lounge is now Mazzoli, a bistro serving Italian food, which is available all day Saturday and Sunday. May close earlier in the winter, especially on quiet Sunday evenings.
