MAR 2026 - Handpump installed featuring real ales from all three breweries, DEC 2025 - Reopened as the Fort Bar, a joint venture by Moonwake, Pilot and Barney's breweries, without any real ale despite the fact that all three breweries produce cask ale. No external signage as at March 2026 JUN 2024 - Still shut JAN 2020 - Closed due to long history of noise complaints. Owner looking for new tenant. Traditional locals' bar. The bar area is small but the adjoining lounge (if not privately booked) provides extra seating. The bare stone walls in the lounge are often adorned with displays from local artists. There is attractive use of stained glass throughout. The old-fashioned gantry and bar counter with match-strikers add to the attraction. A Leith Festival venue. Children are not admitted.
