See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Two-roomed pub in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle with wooden floors, high ceilings and old brewery window panels, which gives it an old-fashioned feel, complemented by candles in the evening. Named after a local school uniform, it features a tiled blue blazer inlaid on the floor. The pub specialises in real ales from smaller Scottish breweries. These are dispensed by the handpumps, the Aitkin founts now being used for kegged beers only. Being close to theatres and cinemas, the pub stays open later during August for the Edinburgh International Festival and during December. NOTE: Children and Stag and Hen parties are not admitted.
