Single-roomed, old-fashioned bar by the Water of Leith dating from 1747 popular with locals and visitors. It has a real fire and the walls are bedecked with mirrors, prints and beer-related artefacts. A large selection of pump clips, many from long-lost breweries, hang from the ceiling along with hop bines which are renewed every harvest. The wide variety of real ales are are listed on the mirror behind the bar. There is an emphasis towards smaller breweries and ones from the Lake District.
