JUN 2025 - Reopened on the 27th June. Open daily from 10am till late. Website menu suggests they will be serving two cask ales rotating through a range of Scottish classics. The breweries mentioned are Barney's and Bellfield. However, early visitors are saying NO REAL ALE taps. NOTE: Some details shown may have changed. APR 2023 - Caledonian Heritable have bought it and say they will lease it back as a cinema to state funded bodies. Presumably they will run the bar and catering. OCT 2022 - CLOSED - company in liquidation. WAS - A popular & spacious cafe-style bar in a specialist cinema with a modern décor and an emphasis on table seating. Film-related prints and photos adorn the walls, many as curated exhibitions. One end of the bar dispenses the real ales. The guest ales are often from smaller Scottish breweries. Good quality food is served, with options for vegetarians and vegans. Not the cheapest bar in town, but it attracts many customers other than the cinema goers. The Usher Hall and the Lyceum and Traverse theatres are five minutes walk away. NOTE: Alcohol may not be served before 11am
