JAN 2026 - Announcement made that Charwood would be closing on 24th January 2026. Rumoured to be taken over by the Miller and Carter steakhouse chain. A purpose built, suburban lounge bar and restaurant on the southern outskirts of the city. Plenty of comfortable seating with tables indoors along with tables and comfortable chairs outdoors, with a fish-pond and artificial grassed surrounds. There is a good varied menu with local produce widely used. Items such as steaks and burgers are cooked with fire and there is a wood burning pizza oven. Takeaways are also available. Card payments only. NOTE: Alcoholic Drinks may not be served before noon.
