Established in 1747, and at the heart of the community, the pub has a fine old L-shaped public bar with wooden decor and coal fire. There is also a comfortable open-plan lounge, where families are welcome, that is popular for food which is served all day. Both are decorated with country photos and prints. The changing real ales are chosen by customers and there are over 300 malt whiskies to try. NOTE: The Public Bar is only open from 3pm Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
