A busy split-level floorboarded and flag-stoned Nicholson's pub that was refurbished in late 2024. The interior is atmospheric with dark wood-panelling. It often has an interesting real ale selection but is no longer the home of a micro-brewery. Meals are served all day, but the upstairs restaurant may be closed during quiet winter periods and food served only in the bar.
