In an attractive location, sitting across from the harbour in the old fishing village of Newhaven, this is a very friendly locals' pub on two levels, the larger being beside the bar counter. There are historical memorabilia on the walls with sea-charts on the ceiling to tie in with the harbour’s original association as a Royal Dockyard where the 'Great Michael' was built, the largest warship of its time in Europe. There is occasional live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Children are not admitted.
